About us

Built on dialogue, grown through solidarity.

From a small gathering of North Westerners in Toronto to a nationwide community this is our story.

2008

A community takes shape

Founded as the Alliance of North Westerners in Toronto, the first gathering point for North West Cameroonians across Canada.

2009

First Constitution adopted

In February, the Association formalized itself as an apolitical, development oriented body committed to member welfare and integration.

Since

The Ndu Water Project

A flagship sponsorship reflecting our commitment to meaningful, people centered development back home.

Today

A home away from home

An executive team, a Njangi solidarity fund, and members across Canada carrying North West culture forward.

Our vision

A model diaspora community.

The Cameroon Association of North westerners in Canada envision a vibrant community that actively promotes and preserves the rich cultural heritage, values, and traditions of the Northwest Region of Cameroon. We aim to celebrate our unique identity while fostering an environment of inclusivity and respect for diverse cultures. Through cultural events, educational programs, and community engagement, we strive to enhance the appreciation and understanding of our heritage among both our members and the broader Canadian society.
